Bryce Harper Opens Up About Mike Trout's Historic Contract Extension

Bryce Harper made it known that he was going to be recruiting Mike Trout. But after the news of the extension, Harper is still happy Mike Trout got his money.

Yesterday, it was announced that Mike Trout is getting ready to sign a 10-year, $365 million extension with the Angels which will officially start in the 2021 season. The deal, including the final two years of the six-year, $144 million contract he signed in 2015 bringing his total to 12 years and $426 million.

Today, Bryce Harper was asked about Mike Trout and here was his reaction:

“When I talked to him this offseason, I told him, ‘Man, I want to get as much as I can so that you can blow me out of the water pretty much,'" Harper told reporters, via the Philadelphia Inquirer." "And he did. I’m very happy for him.”

Harper at his first press conference with the Phillies made it known that when Mike Trout is a free agent, he made it known that he will be recruiting him.
