The Dodgers placed Andrew Toles on the restricted list, a procedural move that opens a 40-man roster spot.
A couple weeks ago, manager Dave Roberts announced that Andrew Toles will be out indefinitely due to personal issues. Here is what he said:
"We aren't sure when Andrew will arrive, but he has been in contact with the organization and has our full support," according to a team release. "Out of respect for Andrew and his family, we will have no further comment on the matter."
Toles has been a key contributor over the past couple seasons in 86 career games. He most recently came back last September as a roster after tearing his ACL in 2017 season.
It is unclear what the Dodgers will be doing with that final roster spot, but it gives them the flexibility with the season being just a couple weeks away.
