Anthony Davis Sr. Does Not Want His Son Playing For The Celtics

The father of Pelicans forward Anthony Davis has made it very clear that he does not want his son traded to the Boston Celtics.

According to Ramona Shelburne , Anthony Davis' father told her via text message that if he is traded there, he will definitely not commit.

"I would never want my son to play for Boston after what they done to Isaiah Thomas," Anthony Davis Sr. told ESPN on Friday, referencing the former Celtics star point guard who was traded for Kyrie Irving amid his recovery from a hip injury. "No loyalty. Guy gives his heart and soul and they traded him."

Davis Sr. went on to say that is just his opinion and he won't be able to speak for his son.

The Celtics traded Isaiah Thomas to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the summer of 2017 for Kyrie Thomas. Thomas played on a serious hip injury during the 2017 postseason, and also continued to play despite losing his sister in a car crash.
