Chargers Fall To The Patriots In The Divisional Round

Coming into this game, the Chargers looked unstoppable on the road and looked to into New England to get a win. But a rough first half proved to be too much to overcome.

After the Patriots started off with a long scoring drive, Philip Rivers hit Keenan Allen deep to tie up the game at 7-7. After the Keenan Allen TD, things did not go right at all for the Chargers as the Patriots had as many touchdowns as the Chargers had first downs. Going into halftime, the Patriots jumped out to a 35-7 game.

After four quarters of play, the New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 41-28 to advance to the next round of the playoffs.

Next week, the New England Patriots will travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in a highly anticipated AFC Championship game. This is the ninth consecutive season the Patriots are in the championship game and 13th time overall during the career Tom Brady. Winner of that game will take on the NFC Champion in the Super Bowl.
