This Sunday, it is a showdown in Foxboro as the Los Angeles Chargers take on the New England Patriots. The Chargers are looking to advance to the AFC Championship game for the first time since they saw an undefeated Patriots team back in 2008.
Biggest story coming into this game for the Chargers will be the health of Chargers running back Melvin Gordon, who suffered a knee injury during the first quarter against the Ravens on Sunday. Gordon eventually came back into the game on LA's next offensive series with a knee brace on. It was the same knee that Gordon injured late in the season which kept him out for a few games. Chargers will likely have to use Austin Ekeler along with rookie Justin Jackson if Gordon's injury appears noticeable during the game.
The Chargers are certainly well equipped to pull off an upset, as they have been battle-tested this season with wins on the road against Seattle, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, and the latest coming against Baltimore. Overall this season, the Chargers went (8-1) on the road while the Patriots are undefeated at home (8-0).
The quarterback matchup between 37-year-old Philip Rivers and 41-year-old Tom Brady is the oldest ever for two starting quarterbacks in an NFL postseason game. Regardless of their age, they are still two of the best in the business.
KFI will broadcast all the action as it happens live and on the @iHeartRadio App (if you live within a fifty mile radius of Los Angeles).
