Kevin Durant On How Playing With LeBron Would Be "Toxic"

It seems that superstars around the NBA are a little bit reluctant about joining LeBron in Los Angeles.

According to Bleacher Report in a segment called "Why Doesn't Anyone Want To Play With LeBron Anymore," they asked several NBA players about why they don't want to make the jump to the Lakers. One player in particular who weighed in is Warriors forward Kevin Durant who is set to become a free agent next year.

He has so many fanboys in the media. Even the beat writers just fawn over him. I'm like, we're playing basketball here, and it's not even about basketball at certain points. So I get why anyone wouldn't want to be in that environment because it's toxic. Especially when the attention is bulls--t attention, fluff. It's not LeBron's fault at all; it's just the fact you have so many groupies in the media that love to hang on every word.

It is no secret that the team have to adjust when LeBron James is on the team. When he was Miami it took a couple months for Bosh, Wade, and LeBron to gel and the same when he went back to Cleveland with Kyrie and Kevin Love.

Next offseason is one where the Lakers still have cap room to sign one more big free agent and it will be interesting to see if big free agents like Klay Thompson and Kawhi Leonard could sign with the Lakers.
