Retired Boxer Dies During Croissant Eating Contest

Argentinian boxer Mario Melo who was only 56 years old died on Sunday during a croissant eating contest. 

The contest was in Buenos Aires and the goal was who can eat the most croissants in one minute. The pro boxer was in the middle of the contest and after his third croissant, he choked and firefighters tried to come to his rescue according to the reports

After he was rushed to the hospital, former boxer Mario Melo was pronounced dead at the scene at Pinamar Hospital. Melo won the WNBA world title all the way back in 1990 and he retired with a 21-9 record.
