Kershaw: "I Don't Need To Prove Myself To Anyone"

The Dodgers named Hyun-Jin Ryu the starter for Game 1, it surprised many people that longtime ace Clayton Kershaw didn't get the nod game 1.

According to Andy McCullough, Kershaw didn't seem too thrilled about the outcome that he isn't starting this series against the Braves.

I don't need to prove myself to anyone

Once the Dodgers gave an explanation to Kershaw that he wouldn't be starting, the hashed everything out and understands that he will be starting Game 2.

Manager Dave Roberts came out and said how badly Kershaw wanted to come out and make a statement Game 1.

He obviously wanted to pitch Game 1 and expected to. But after talking to him and explaining our thoughts, he accepted it and he just said he'll be ready to go for the second game."

Dodgers open up the postseason tonight at 5:30 pm vs. the Braves.
