New NFL Head Coaches Have It Rough In Week One

Seven men found out just how hard it is to go from the back seat into the front seat when it comes to the NFL coaching world.

There were seven new head coaches in the league in Week 1. All seven of them lost. Matt Patricia may have gotten the worst of it with his team's blowout loss at home at the hands of the Jets. Patricia is the first coach since Tom Cable with the Raiders in 2008 to lose his debut by 31 points or more.

It wasn't any better for Jon Gruden's Raiders. In his second go-around with the organization, Gruden's team was dominated in the second half of a 33-13 loss at home to the Rams.

Other new head coaches that lost in Week 1 include Matt Nagy from the Bears, Frank Reich from the Colts, Pat Shurmur from the Giants, Mike Vrabel from the Titans and Steve Wilks of the Cardinals.

All seven coaches don't play each other in Week 2 and could possibly be facing and 0-2 start.
