The Los Angeles Dodgers keep climbing in the NL West, taking two of three games from the Pirates after sweeping the Rockies.
Cody Bellinger was one of the stars of the series. The second-year standout broke out of a slump, erupting at the plate for a home run in each of the three games in Pittsburgh. Outfielder Joc Pederson also delivered in the batter's box, belting three home runs of his own.
The lone loss of the road trip came on Wednesday night, as the Pirates took Game 2 of the series 11-9. Outside of that, Dodgers starter Ross Stripling shined again in a 5-0 shutout on Tuesday, while the team held on late for an 8-7 victory in the series finale.
