It's not really surprising considering the unprecedented season Las Vegas is having in their inaugural year. As the Golden Knights head to the Stanley Cup finals, their merchandise has become the best selling of all NHL teams in the US this year.
According to Fanatics, the Knights have sold more gear in May than the rest of the remaining playoff teams combined.
Sporting goods stores all over the Las Vegas region are selling out of their Knights wares, as fans line up to snatch what they can.
The Galleria at Sunset mall marketing manager Jamie Cooper compared the line ups to that of Black Friday, with customers "constantly calling" to see what is left in stock. These sales aren't just in the U.S. People in more than 90 countries are buy Golden Knights merchandise.
Lids vice president of buying reports that Vegas apparel sales are "by far the best ever" and puts the Knights "definitely in the top ten" among all sports teams sales.
