Tiger Woods Falls Just Short Of Valspar Championship Victory

Tiger Woods fell just short of his first PGA Tour win since 2013 on Sunday, finishing tied for second place at the Valspar Championship.

A comeback attempt fell just short, as Woods missed a 38-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole that would have sent him into a playoff with tournament champion Paul Casey.

Woods shot a one-under 70 to finish at nine-under for the tournament.

While Woods came up just short of the win, his presence at the top of the leaderboard brought back memories of when the golf icon captivated the sport in his prime. There was no better example than on the 17th hole, as Woods drained a 44-foot birdie putt to pull within one shot heading into the final hole.

Woods' last PGA Tour victory came at the 2013 Bridgestone Invitational.
