Utah Jazz rookie phenom Donovan Mitchell has taken the NBA by storm this season, emerging as a top Rookie of the Year candidate with 19.6 points per game on 43.9 percent shooting.
Fans across the country that had yet to take notice of Salt Lake City's rising hoops star were informed of what they've been missing on Saturday night.
Mitchell threw it back to 2000 with a Vince Carter tribute, re-creating the legendary dunker's "It's Over" slam to win the 2018 Slam Dunk Contest. He even tore off his Jazz threads, displaying Carter's retro Toronto Raptors jersey underneath.
