With a third quarter layup Tuesday night against the Pistons, Dwayne Wade passed Larry Bird for 32nd all-time on the NBA scoring list.
He needs 13 more to pass Gary Payton. Without Kevin Love for the next two months, he needs to beef up his scoring to replace the lost production.
Wade is on pace to enter the top-30 on the list by the end of they year, needing 11.9 points per game to pass Clyde Drexler.
Larry Bird has yet to comment on getting passed.
