Julio Urias heads to the disabled list

Dodgers left-hander Julio Urias has experienced a setback at Triple-A Oklahoma City, and will head to the disabled list with discomfort in his left shoulder.

The 20-year-old will head back to Los Angeles so that team doctor Neal ElAttrache can assess the shoulder in question. In the meantime, the Oklahoma City Dodgers have placed him on the DL.

"He felt a few days ago that it wasn't feeling right," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. "It really hasn't gotten a whole lot better."

When Urias arrived at the MLB level in late May, it was presumed he would stay with the club throughout the remainder of the season. After allowing just two earned runs in his first three starts, though, Urias gave up 12 earned runs over the course of his next 6.1 innings pitched -- prompting his trip back to Oklahoma City.
