Bryce Alfrod says Lonzo Ball is getting a bad rap

LOS ANGELES, CA - MARCH 1: Bryce Alford #20 of the UCLA Bruins and Lonzo Ball #2 of the UCLA Bruins on the court in the second half of the game against the Washington Huskies at Pauley Pavilion on March 1, 2017 in Los Angeles, California. Bruins won 98-6

The public perception of Lonzo Ball has changed significantly over the course of the past few months, through little doing of his own.

Lonzo is still the same player that Lakers fans gushed over this winter, as he reinvigorated the UCLA Bruins with a contagious brand of selfless basketball that, in turn, led to a wildly successful season and Sweet 16 appearance.

Since then, however, excitement surrounding Lonzo has been passed up by oversaturation of his father LaVar and his constant appetite for the spotlight.

One of Lonzo's former UCLA teammates, Bryce Alford, thinks the dynamic point guard is getting a bad rap as a result.
