Los Angeles Dodgers star Corey Seager was recognized as the top hitting National League shortstop of the 2016 season during a ceremony prior to Tuesday night's game against the San Diego Padres.
Seager hit .308/.365./512 last season with 26 home runs, 72 RBIs and 105 runs scored.
Seager's 2017 campaign is already off to a good start, crushing a three-run home run during Monday's season opener.
