"I've been like this my all my life, man. It's just in front of the cameras now. I'm not going to change whether the cameras are there or aren't there. I talk the same way to you guys as I do to my neighbors."

 -- LaVar Ball

LaVar Ball joined Fred Roggin on "Lunchtime" with Roggin and Rodney on Friday for a humorous and thought-provoking interview that you will not want to miss.

One of the topics discussed was the amount of pressure that Ball places on his sons, Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo. Ball doesn't believe that his bold proclamations and outspoken remarks add pressure to his sons, noting that the only people they have to prove anything to is themselves.

"They don't have to prove nothing to me or anybody on the outside. They have to prove it to themselves," Ball said. "You give it your best effort, and I give you as much help as I can, and let the chips fall where they may."

As for his younger sons?

"They've got blinders on right now. They just want to be better than their brother."

While Ball's outspoken nature has a tendency to dominate headlines and rub people the wrong way, one thing that is never brought into question is his dedication to family.

"I do care about my family and I take care of them. So whatever everybody else says on the outside, I really don't care. As long as my boys know what I'm about, and I know what they're about, we're good."

On how he's responded to media attention.

"I've been like this my all my life, man. It's just in front of the cameras now. I'm not going to change whether the cameras are there or aren't there. I talk the same way to you guys as I do to my neighbors."

What's the endgame with Big Baller Brand?

"I'm not looking for no endorsement deal. I'm looking for a marketing and distribution deal. That's a lot different."

Because of course.

"Big Baller Brand is better than Gucci."

Fred doesn't believe LaVar is better than Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley or Greg Louganis.

"I'm glad you have your opinions because I know I can beat all of them. As a matter of fact, I might beat them all in the same day just for you."

On forcing himself into the national sports scene.

"I think you guys forced it. I think you guys want to hear what I say, so everybody keeps calling me. And I keep talking, because I love to talk to people."

UCLA vs. Kentucky prediction?

"You know what's gonna happen. UCLA's gonna win."
