12-year-old kid gives lesson in perseverance after finally making baseball team

Commitment and sportsmanship are two areas where you hear common complaints in regards to youth sports today, but one little leaguer has done everything in his power to buck this trend.

Below is a screenshot (via Reddit) that captures an email from a young baseball player to his league director.

The player in question had failed to make the cut for the tournament team in four consecutive years from ages 8-11. His hard work has finally paid off, however, making the cut at 12 years old.

I'll take a grinder like this kid over an talented prima donna any day.
