As the second quarter came to a close in the Sunday's NCAA Women’s Championship Tournament game between Maryland and West Virginia, Maryland freshman Destiny Slocum was just trying to get one last shot off before the buzzer. Her ¾ court heave extended the Terrapins' halftime lead to 38-24, and they would go on to win the game and advance to regionals.
