Per Mike Klis of 9News in Denver, Okung will "get strong interest" from the Chargers.

After spending the first six years of his career with the Seattle Seahawks, Okung spent 2016 with the Denver Broncos. His contract option was declined by the team in February, leaving him searching for a new team this offseason.

The Chargers ranked in the bottom half of the league in sacks allowed last year, and the team appears intent on improving protection for quarterback Philip Rivers as NFL Free Agency arrives.

Reports have surfaced that free-agent tackle Russell Okung will receive 'strong interest' from the Chargers. Although Okung endured a somewhat disappointing 2016 campaign with the Denver Broncos, but had previously been a Pro Bowler with the Seattle Seahawks.

Any deals cannot be made official until 1:00 p.m. PT on Thursday.
