The 5-6 San Diego Chargers look to build from their impressive win last Sunday with only five games left.

On Sunday afternoon the Chargers host the AFC North leading Cincinnati Bengals, as they continue to fight for the sixth and final playoff spot, currently San Diego is in the eighth spot after Baltimore defeated Pittsburgh on Thursday night.

The bolts scored 41 points on the Kansas City Chiefs last week, a defense that was only giving up 13.8 points per game and had only given up more than 17 points in a game once all season (Denver scored 27 points in week 11).

San Diego face another tough defense this week, the Bengals have the number seventh ranked total defense in the league.

“They’ve got a good front, they play hard.” Chargers Offensive Coordinator Ken Whisenhunt said. “There a well coach scheme, they’ve been doing that scheme for a couple of years, so it will be a challenge.”

At the time this article was posted, the game has a television black out in Southern California. So make sure you tune into Fox Sports 570 AM to listen as the Chargers try to make a run at the postseason.
