ProFootballTalk.com's Mike Florio joins Steve Gorman SPORTS! to talk about Josh Gordon's excuse, Patrick Peterson's new contract and the Raiders possibly moving to San Antonio.

Steve: "Do you think the NFL needs to reconsider Gordan’s suspension?"

Mike Florio: "Well here’s the thing: the threshold for marijuana metabolites is ridiculously low for the NFL, 15 nanograms per milliliter. The World Anti-Doping Agency has increased their limit to 150, that’s an order of magnitude, 150 not 15. And there’s this weird twist with Josh Gordon’s case where every time you give a urine sample and after you’ve finished depositing the sample, it’s split into two bottles, A and B. And I always thought, “okay, if the A bottle’s positive, you test the B bottle. If the B bottle is positive, then it’s a positive.” Well, as it turns out, the B bottle doesn’t have to actually be positive, it just has to show that it’s got the substance in it. And in this case, luck of the draw, the A bottle was one nanogram per milliliter above the limit. The B bottle was under the limit so if you flip the two, which I’m sure could just arbitrarily and easily happen, it’s a negative. So, it’s just a weird situation. I’ve never heard of this happening before and I think what’s going on here is that the NFL PA and Josh Gordon’s people hope that whoever handles this appeal will look at the broader circumstances and say, 'We can’t throw this guy out of the league for a year.'"
