Petros Papadakis was joined by all-time Pac-12 scoring leader Don MacLean on Tuesday, and naturally, the conversation turned to the hardwood — more specifically, the Clippers.
The Clippers won 14 of their first 16 games this season, the best start in team history. At 14-2, they also boasted the best record in the NBA.
Since then, the team has gone 9-12 and is only a half-game away from slipping to the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference.
Shortcomings on the defensive end have cost the Clippers as of late, an issue that surfaced before injuries to Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. Petros and Don believe this must be corrected quickly in order to secure a top-three playoff seed and avoid the Golden State Warriors in the second round.
