LOS ANGELES – The Clippers won’t need to wait long for a chance at redemption from last year’s postseason.

The 2016-17 NBA schedule has been released, and the Clippers’ regular season, presented by Agua Caliente Casino Resorts, will begin where it ended last year with a matchup Oct. 27 in Portland.

That matchup against the Trail Blazers will appear on TNT. With 10 total games on TNT, 10 games on ESPN and five games on ABC, the Clippers are scheduled to appear in 25 nationally televised games this year; adding on their nine appearances on NBATV, the number of nationally televised games jumps to 34.

Following their regular season debut, the Clippers head back to Los Angeles for the home opener Oct. 30 at 1:30 p.m. PT against Utah, followed by a Halloween matchup against Phoenix in the first of 18 back-to-backs for the Clippers, who had 20 last year.

The NBA reduced the number of back-to-backs for teams league-wide this year, though no team has more than the Clippers, who did well handling those back-to-backs last year by going 13-7 in the first of back-to-backs and 12-8 in the second.
