Players The Dodgers Should Target At The Trade Deadline

Tim Cates shares several options for the Dodgers to trade for as the deadline approaches at the end of the month.

Here is the complete list below:

KYLE GIBSON

He is 33 years old and only has one more year left on his team-friendly contract. Gibson is also having a career year and is on pace to be one of the finalists for the AL Cy Young award.

The team is 20 games under .500 at the All-Star break, meaning it is just a matter of time before the Rangers tie the longest streak of losing seasons since the franchise moved to Texas in 1972.

This might be the best option for the Dodgers at the deadline.

MAX SCHERZER:

Max Scherzer will become a free agent at the end of the 2021 season. Will the Dodgers be willing to give up a lot for a player that could possibly be a rental.

JOSE BERRIOS

Chicago White Sox v Minnesota Twins

He has displayed remarkable consistency across his career and with just a year and a half to go before he hits free agency, the Twins could be looking to move on from him in this trade deadline.

It would be somewhat pricey to get him since other teams could get in a bidding war for him.
