MLB Finalizes Return After Agreeing To Health Protocols

Major League Baseball will officially return!

The Major League Baseball Players' Association and league owners agreed to a deal on health and safety protocols Tuesday night, ensuring there will be a 60-game MLB regular season, per ESPN's Karl Ravech. The MLBPA confirmed a deal was done with a statement on Twitter.

Camps will open July 1, with 29 of the 30 teams staging camps at their home ballparks. Due to restrictions at the Canada-United States border,Toronto Blue Jays players will report to the team's minor-league complex in Dunedin, Florida.

Players agreed to report to camps. Health and safety protocols were the last hurdle remaining to end the prolonged standoff between the MLB and MLBPA and finalize a 2020 season. MLB announced Monday that all 30 owners voted to implement the 2020 schedule after the union rejected their final proposal.
