REPORT: Dodgers Considering Calling Up Top Prospect Gavin Lux

Could the Dodgers be calling up Lux?

The Dodgers are considering calling up top prospect Gavin Lux when rosters expand in September, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. Lux is the No. 10 prospect in all of baseball, and has been absolutely dominant as of late with .407 batting average with 12 home runs and a 1.240 OPS in 182 plate appearances. Here is what Ken Rosenthal had to say about it:

One team official recently referred to Lux as a player "still in our holster." Another said the Dodgers could find at-bats for the versatile Chris Tayor and Kiké Hernandez, both of whom recently came off the injured list, even if Lux entered the mix.

The Dodgers at the trade deadline did not make any major moves due to the asking price being too high from teams like the Pittsburgh Pirates. Any move that were to be made at the time for a top reliever need to include Gavin Lux.
