It can sometimes be difficult to keep track of all the Christmas characters in American culture. There are the big ones like Santa Claus, Rudolph, and Frosty; somewhat less canonical figures like Emmet Otter, Heat Miser, and Mr. Fezziwig; and downright minor creations like Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and Matt Lauer. There is seemingly no limit to our collective holiday imagination.
While we all know of these characters in some form, it can be a little challenging to remember them when challenged to do so. Take, for example, the Los Angeles Lakers' performance when asked to list Santa's reindeer by local affiliate KABC (via PBT). It's not so great, even if Mike D'Antoni has some fun with it:
Except, that is, for backup point guard Jordan Farmar. The curiosity here is that Farmar was brought up Jewish, attending Hebrew school and being bar mitzvah'd as a young boy in the San Fernando Valley. Although the story of Santa and his reindeer is not exactly part of a religious tradition, it's a little funny that the person not force-fed Christmas stories his entire life got the most of the bunch.
