Sportsnet.ca reports that the chances of Phil Jackson taking over as president of basketball operations for the Raptors are "remote:"

One name that can be crossed off any lists, sources say, is Phil Jackson. The 11-time NBA champion head coach won six titles working with Leiweke in Los Angeles and the two are friends, but the likelihood of Jackson relocating to Toronto and taking on a full-time role as a club executive are considered remote at this point.

Jackson had been under consideration since Tim Leiweke, who worked with Jackson when Leiweke was head of AEG -- the company that runs Staples Center when Jackson was head coach of the Lakers -- took over as the new head of MLSE, which runs the Raptors. Jackson recently said he has been approached by a number of teams offering involvement in their basketball operations, but CBSSports.com's Ken Berger reported last week that Jackson will keep his options open.
